Guitarfish Atlantic (Rhinobatos lentiginosus)

Guitarfish Atlantic is Hybrid skate and shark-looking fish belongs to the family Rajiformes Atlantic skate and guitar along with Ray. Guitarfish Atlantic  is sometimes encountered by fishermen, but not the target species. 

Guitarfish Atlantic inhabits on sandy and weedy bottoms and found near small islands, usually buried in the sand, seagrass, or mud at depths of 1-45 meters.

The pectoral fins and head of the Atlantic Guitar Fish form a triangular disc on the front of the body. The back of the body of Guitarfish Atlantic  is thick and tapered like a shark and has two large dorsal fins and caudal fin well developed. Atlantic Fish guitar color varies from gray to brown with several pale spots on its body.

Atlantic Guitar Fish are ovoviviparous, meaning that they bear live young, with up to six in a litter. At birth, they are 20 inches long. This species is generally 1 to 2 meters long and can reach a maximum length of 21 / 2 feet. Females are slightly larger than males.
